play therapy

Using amistà as part of play-therapy techniques

amistà emphasizes acceptance that becomes tangible, but using our technique also creates opportunities for sharing, exploring emotions, and creating encounters. Our approach is designed to support the emotional and social development of your child by using techniques inspired by play therapy, and thus strengthening the bond between parent and child. amista thus provides opportunities for children to explore their emotions, develop problem-solving abilities, and build trust in a playful and engaging way.

Tips for Success:

Be Patient: Some children may be hesitant at first to express their emotions. It is therefore important to give them as much time as they need.

Stay Neutral: Avoid judging or correcting how your child expresses themselves. The focus is on your child.

We hope that our approach helps you in developing your child’s emotional growth and in strengthening the bond between you and your child. Thank you for being an active part of this journey!

Exploring Emotions Through Art:

Objective: Help your child express and identify different emotions.

Activity: Expressing feelings through art

Materials Needed: Paper, crayons, markers, or paint.

Instructions:

* Sit with your child and ask them to draw or paint a picture that shows how they’re feeling or how they see something/someone.

* Encourage them to use colors and shapes to represent their emotions.

* When they have finished, discuss the picture together. Ask them to explain what they have drawn and why they have drawn it.

* Finally, and most importantly, accept them as much as you possibly can, thus creating really and tangibly special moments.
